Jock's Backroom Blog

Views from the Backroom, and the Classroom, at Oxford Brookes University

I am, quite rightly, encouraged to disclaim that this blog, and any of its content, is not to be construed as in any way reflecting the official opinions or policies of Oxford Brookes University.  In particular, in my capacity as a member of the University’s Board of Governors, nothing written here should be taken to be representative of the Board as a corporate body (or indeed any other individual on the Board).  All posts and opinions are mine alone, and all comments upon them those of the various individual comment posters.

In addition, since the facility operates under the university’s “Regulations for the use of IT services” by posting a comment you are implicitly accepting those terms and conditions.  As a consequence I may be forced to be somewhat more censorious than I would otherwise be on my blog.  If anything is posted which violates the terms and conditions – in the main if it is abusive, breaches anyone’s intellectual property rights or is likely to be viewed as libellous – I may have to remove it (though I would hopefully be able to ask the comment maker themselves first if they would make their comment compliant, and certainly inform the author if possible that such an action had been taken and why).
